Attorney Richard T. Elrod of Herrling Clark Law Firm Ltd. was recently appointed to serve as a member of the Paralegal Advisory Committee for Fox Valley Technical College (FVTC) in Grand Chute, Wisc. FVTC’s employer advisory committees help guide the curriculum for FVTC occupational programs, providing real-world business expertise that better prepares graduates for employment in their prospective industries. Attorney Kristen Scheuerman Selected to Serve as Co-Editor of The Verdict

Attorney Kristen Scheuerman of Herrling Clark Law Firm Ltd. was recently selected to serve as Co-Editor of The Verdict, the quarterly publication of the Wisconsin Association for Justice (WAJ), Wisconsin’s largest voluntary legal bar organization. In addition to preserving access to the civil justice system, one of WAJ’s principal objectives is promoting the legal education of its members for the betterment of the trial bar profession, and to ensure a fair and effective judicial system while protecting Wisconsin citizens’ Constitutional right to a civil jury trial.
The Verdict was first published in 1978. Since its inception, there have been 11 editors and Kristen will be the 12th. She will be only the third female editor and will serve alongside co-editor Kelly Centofanit, marking the first time in The Verdict’s history that the publication will be edited by a team of women lawyers. Kristen’s dedication and involvement with WAJ allows her to maintain a critical working knowledge of legislative changes and proposed legislation that affect her clients’ rights.
Attorney Tyler Claringbole Appointed Commissioner of Condemnation for Outagamie County

Attorney Tyler Claringbole of Herrling Clark Law Firm Ltd. was recently appointed as a Commissioner of Condemnation for Outagamie County by the Outagamie County Circuit Court judges. He was sworn in by Judge McGinnis.
This position was previously held by Herrling Clark Attorney Andrew J. Rossmeissl, whose term ended in October 2019. Commissioners of Condemnation are appointed by Circuit Court judges and serve for a three-year term.
According to Wisconsin Statutes, “The office of commissioner of condemnation is created. In counties having a population of less than 100,000 there shall be 6 commissioners; in counties having a population of 100,000 or more and less than 750,000 there shall be 9 commissioners; in counties having a population of 750,000 or more there shall be 12 commissioners. Each such commissioner must be a resident of the county or of an adjoining county in the same judicial circuit prior to appointment and remain so during the term of office. Not more than one-third of such commissioners shall be attorneys at law, licensed for active practice in this state.”

Attorney Kevin Lonergan of the Herrling Clark Law Firm Ltd. was recently accepted into the American Board of Trial Advocates (ABOTA). Kevin is the past-President of the Herrling Clark Law Firm in Appleton, Wisc.
The ABOTA is a national association of experienced trial lawyers and judges. ABOTA and its members are dedicated to the preservation and promotion of the civil jury trial right provided by the Seventh Amendment to the U.S. Constitution. ABOTA is an invitation-only organization. Members must have at least five years of active experience as trial lawyers, and must have tried at least 10 civil jury trials to conclusion and possess additional litigation experience. Members must also exhibit the virtues of civility, integrity and professionalism by following the ABOTA’s Code of Professionalism and Principles of Civility.
