Losing a loved one in a motor vehicle accident is one of the most traumatic occurrences that a Wisconsin resident can endure. Suddenly and without warning, a loved one can be ripped away from a person’s life. While suffering with this emotional burden, loved ones should not also have to suffer with hefty medical bills and burdensome transportation costs. While taking legal action will never be able to undo the trauma, it can sometimes help to alleviate some of the financial burden.

According to reports, a woman tragically died following a recent car accident in Wisconsin. The accident occurred between a car and a cement truck on a Wednesday morning. The car was driven by a 67-year-old woman from Appleton. Police say the woman’s car was rear-ended by the cement truck. Her vehicle was stopped while she waited to turn left.

Following the crash, the woman was rushed to a nearby hospital. Her injuries were considered serious. Sadly, she did not survive her injuries and passed away later that evening. The driver of the cement truck did not suffer injuries, according to reports.

Family members are usually devastated following the loss of a loved one in a motor vehicle accident. Sometimes, they are understandably outraged, too. In order to hold a negligent driver accountable — while at the same time pursuing compensation — family members sometimes choose to file wrongful death lawsuits.

A successful wrongful death lawsuit will prove the other driver’s negligence. This is often accomplished by making use of police reports, investigation reports, eyewitness testimonies and the like. A strong legal strategy can help better the chances of a successful wrongful death lawsuit.
